Consultation & Evaluation

Utilizing data and aerial imagery or an in-person visit, will evaluate the soil type, topography, crop(s) you want to grow, etc., and discuss budget.

Drainage Plan

Utilizing information from the evaluation, we will create a design plan with system and outlet recommendations, and provide with a cost estimate.

Schedule

Assuming the design plan and cost work for you, we will schedule the installation. We do have a short work season, Spring to Fall, so we need to plan early.

Success Story

A Linn Co. field with spring-time standing water & limited crop options becomes "Any kind of rotation we want"

Issues:
  • Excessive water made it difficult to get equipment on for spring work
  • Only capable of growing annual ryegrass
  • High clay, white soil preventing good drainage

Solution:
  • Pattern system with variable spacing based on clay and water content
  • Tile lines were designed for 3/4" of rainfall per 24 hours

Outcome:
  • Now rotating among higher value crops - radish, triticale, turf and forage perennial ryegrasses
  • Deeper roots
  • More uniform crops with an increased yield
  • Ability to get on the field to work earlier without getting stuck
  • Using larger equipment that covers more ground at a faster pace
  • Earning more dollars per acre
